Endovascular intervention portfolio
Products used in angioplasty and endovascular repair are selected according to the target vessel, lesion characteristics, access route and imaging findings. VascularVita provides healthcare institutions with supply support for peripheral balloons and stents, carotid systems, aortic endografts and transcatheter aortic valve products. The portfolio focuses on peripheral vascular, aortic and structural heart interventions.

Intervention regions
How does the vascular region affect product selection?
Each vascular region differs in diameter, movement and access route. These differences determine catheter length, device profile and stent design.
Aortoiliac segment
This is the region where the abdominal aorta divides into the iliac arteries; the vessels are wide and flow is rapid. Positioning accuracy makes balloon-expandable stents and high-pressure balloons prominent choices in this region.
Femoropopliteal segment
The region extending from the groin to the back of the knee is exposed to flexion, shortening and torsion during walking. Flexible nitinol stents and drug-eluting balloons are therefore preferred; stent length becomes critical in long lesions.
Below-knee arteries
Vessel diameter decreases markedly in the calf and foot arteries. Low-profile balloon catheters, systems compatible with 0.014-inch guidewires and catheter lengths capable of reaching the foot are required.
Carotid
Stent-cell design and the delivery system are selected according to the anatomy of the carotid artery. Aortic arch type affects the access route and catheter choice; the procedure may be planned with an embolic protection device.
Abdominal and thoracic aorta
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) and thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) use modular systems: a main body, limb extensions and additional modules when required. Neck length, angulation and iliac artery diameter constrain system selection.
Aortic valve (TAVI)
In transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), valve size is planned using annular measurements and coronary artery height assessed on computed tomography. Iliofemoral vessel diameter determines whether the delivery system can pass through the access route.
